Bald Eagle State Park

This 5,900-acre park with a 1,700-acre lake offers two campgrounds, swimming, boating and fishing, hiking trails, and plenty of wildlife watching. Those who want more upscale accommodations can take advantage of The Nature Inn, nestled in the midst of the Park.

Hyner Run State Park

Located at the foot of Hyner Mountain and surrounded by Sproul State Forest, this park provides outdoor adventures such as fishing, hiking, hunting, and more. The campground has 30 sites, as well as a lodge, and a public swimming pool.

Kettle Creek State Park

Eagle and elk viewing top the list of wildlife to watch for at this remote state park. The 167-acre reservoir is perfect for boating and fishing, and it’s a great spot for ice fishing in the winter. The park features two campground areas, picnic space, a volleyball area, plenty of open space to roam, and a 22-mile equestrian trail.

Little Pine State Park

Nestled in the mountains of Tiadaghton State Forest, this 2,100-acre park with a 94-acre lake is ideal for swimming, fishing, and boating. Modern campsites with hook-ups, cottages, and yurts are available to campers.

Ravensburg State Park

This 78-acre rustic and remote park is especially beautiful when the mountain laurel blooms in late June and during the fall foliage of early October. Surrounded by Tiadaghton State Forest, Ravensburg has tent-only camping, picnic areas, and some great coldwater fishing.

Bucktail State Park

Not a park in the traditional sense, this area is a beautiful 75-mile scenic drive along PA 120 from Lock Haven through Renovo, to Emporium. The park stretches through a narrow valley known as the Bucktail Trail, named in honor of the famous American Civil War regiment of woodsmen, the Bucktails or Bucktail Rangers.
